Chaminade University staff and faculty attended the Micronesian Teacher Education Conference in Chuuk State, in the Federated States of Micronesia. A broad range of educational topics were discussed, from how to embed culturally responsive teaching into the classroom to teaching vocabulary using word games and more. Chaminade offers distance learning in an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education for Oceania through the Caroline College and Pastoral Institute. Some of the conference attendees were graduates of the program. Twenty seven students started in the program when it was first offered 10 years ago and 267 students enrolled this fall semester.
